COMPONENT INFORMATION

Use this subtask to view information about the component line selected on the main screen.  The information that displays on this subtask is established and maintained in the Maintain MBOM, Release MBOM, Maintain EBOM, or Release EBOM screens.

Assembly

The fields in this group box provide basic information about the assembly.

Part

This field displays the assembly or parent part of the BOM. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.

Rev

This field displays the revision of the assembly or parent part of the BOM.

BOM Status

This field displays the release status of the BOM for the assembly part.

As of Date

This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the effectivity date that is being used to control which components are displayed.

Config

This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the configuration ID that is being used to control which components are displayed.

Component

The fields in this group box provide details about the component lines of the assembly part, subject to the selection criteria.

Level

This field displays the level of the component line in the BOM of the part. This field is hidden if you selected the Single-Level radio button in the BOM Levels group box in the main screen.

Line No

This field displays the line number for the BOM component line selected from the main screen.

Find No

This field displays the drawing find number for the BOM component line selected from the main screen.

Part

This field displays the component part number for the BOM line. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.

Rev

This field displays the component part revision for the BOM line.

BOM Make/Buy

This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the component.

Part Type

This field, from the component line of the main screen, displays the component type code: "B" (Buy with Components), "S" (Standard), "P" (Phantom), "R" (Reference), and "T" (Tool).

Part Status

This field displays the release status of the component part. This field will display "Provisional" for provisional parts.

Qty Type

This field displays the component quantity type code from the main screen: "A" (Per Assembly), "O" (Per Order), and "R" (As Required).

Mil Spec

This field contains the military specification number of the selected component.

NSN

This field contains the national stock number of the selected component.

CAGE ID

This field displays the Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code of the selected component.

Backflush

Warehouse

This field displays the warehouse from which this backflushed component should be pulled for the manufacturing orders for the assembly.

Location

This field displays the location from which this backflushed component should be pulled for the manufacturing orders for the assembly.

Planning Information

Scrap

This field displays the percentage of this component that you expect to be lost when manufacturing the assembly.

Stop Explosion

This field indicates whether Costpoint Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is prevented from exploding requirements past this component ("Y") or not ("N").

Omit Requirement

This field indicates whether MRP is prevented from including this component in its requirement generation ("Y") or not ("N").

Lead Time Days

This field displays the total lead time in days set for the component from the Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.

Lead Time Offset

This field displays the number of days by which the assembly lead time can be reduced for picking this component.

Work Center

This field displays the work center to which this component is to be issued when building this assembly.

Change Notice

This field displays the change notice responsible for this component on the BOM.

Table Information

For manufacturing BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: MFG_BOM, ITEM, PART, and WORKCENTER.

For engineering BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: ENG_BOM, ITEM, PART, PROV_PART, and WORKCENTER.
