COMPONENT EBOMs WHERE-USED

Use this subtask to view a single-level, where-used table that shows the potential effect of the mass component change. The table lists assemblies and subassemblies with the From Component of their EBOM.

From Component

The fields in this group box provide details about the component to be changed.

Part

This field displays the part number of the component to be changed. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.

Rev

This field displays the revision of the component part to be changed.

Make/Buy

This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the component.

Assemblies

This table provides basic information about the assembly.

Comp Line

This field displays the line number for this EBOM component line.

Find No

This field displays the drawing find number for this EBOM component line.

Assembly Part

This field displays the assembly or parent part of the EBOM.

Assy Rev

The revision of the assembly or parent part of the EBOM displays in this field.

Assembly Description

The description of the assembly part/revision displays in this field.

Comp Type

This field displays the component type code: "B" (Buy with Components), "S" (Standard), "P" (Phantom), "R" (Reference), and "T" (Tool).

Qty Type

This field displays the component quantity type code:

• "A" (Per Assembly) - The component quantity is multiplied by the number of the assembly to be created.

• "O" (Per Order) - Requires a fixed component quantity for each assembly manufacturing created.

• "R" (As Required) - Component requirements are not generated for this assembly.

Quantity

This field displays the component part quantity for the EBOM.

Comp U/M

This field displays the inventory unit of measure for the component.

Comp M/B

This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the component.

Assy Rel Status

This field displays the release status of the assembly part.

Comp Rel Flag

This field indicates whether this EBOM component line has been released ("Y") or not ("N").

Configuration

This field displays the ID of the configuration in which this component will be used when planning this BOM. This field is hidden if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs checkbox in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen.

Configuration Description

The description of the configuration displays in this field. This field is hidden if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs checkbox in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen.

Effective Starting Date

This field displays the date this component will become effective in this EBOM.

Effective Ending Date

This field displays the date this component will cease to be effective in this EBOM.

Reference Designators

This field displays the component's reference designator text for this assembly.

Component Comments

This field displays any comments that apply to this EBOM component.

Entry User ID

This field displays the user ID of the person who first entered this component line.

Entry Date/Time

This field displays the date and time on which the component line was first entered.

Table Information

The information in this screen is stored in the ITEM, PART, PROV_PART, ENG_BOM, and BOM_CONFIG tables.
