Use this screen to perform three functions, depending upon the checkbox selected. You can update low level code, check for looping parts, and change the planning type code from no planning to MRP planned. You can specify the range of parts and revisions you want to process.
Use this drop-down box to select the range of parts you want to include in this update. Valid options are "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To End." The default for this field is "All."
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the starting part number for the range you want to include in this update. If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision of the starting part number for the range you want to include in this update. If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ending part number for the range you want to include in this update. If you select "All," "One," or "To End" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision of the ending part number for the range you want to include in this update. If you select "All," "One," or "To End" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.
Select this checkbox to update the low level codes for the selected range of parts.
When you select the Update Low Level Code checkbox, the system first updates the low-level code of parts within the selected range. The system uses the low-level code to determine the processing order of parts when performing an MRP run. Updates to low-level code also occur within the Manufacturing BOM maintenance programs and MRP itself, but this process is a comprehensive update of these codes.
Select this checkbox to check manufacturing bills of materials for looping part numbers.
When you select this checkbox, the process looks for looping manufacturing bills of material (i.e., where a part exists as a parent to itself somewhere in a multilevel BOM). If such is found, the part and its where-used information will be listed in an exception report.
Select this checkbox to update parts with a plan type of "None" to a plan type of "MRP."
Select this button on the toolbar to update the low-level codes.
