WORK CENTER DETAIL

Use this subtask to enter specialized data about the work center so that you can link the work center to an item for unit usage billing purposes. You can also specify the time (in hours) required to move, set up, and queue a manufacturing order.

Note: This subtask will not be available unless you have installed Costpoint Routings.

Establish this subtask when you create the work center and maintain as needed.

Work Center ID

This field displays the work center ID for which detailed information is being entered. The work center ID description from the main screen displays in the adjacent field.

Active

This field will display a "Y" if the work center is active, an "N" if it is not.

Unit Usage Billing Item

Enter the ID of the item to which the work center will be linked for unit usage billing purposes.

Rev

Enter the revision of the item to which the work center will be linked for unit usage billing purposes.

U/M

These fields display the unit usage billing item's unit of measure and description.

Leadtime Defaults

Use this group box to establish the number of hours (move, queue, and setup) a manufacturing order requires to be processed at the work center.

Move Hours

Enter the default lead-time, in hours, required for moving a manufacturing order to the work center. This field displays an initial value of "0."

Queue Hours

Enter the default lead-time, in hours, a new manufacturing order must wait at the work center. This field displays an initial value of "0."

Setup Hours

Enter the default lead-time, in hours, required for setup of a new manufacturing order. This field displays an initial value of "0."

Notes

Use this group box to enter text notes related to the work center.
