Use this subtask to attach standard text notes to the selected component in a MBOM. You can do this manually or with the Autoload feature. You can add, delete, or modify information.
The fields in this group box provide basic information about the assembly.
This field displays the assembly or parent part for which the MBOM was created. The part description displays in the unnamed field below.
This field displays the revision of the assembly or parent part for which the MBOM was created.
This field displays the release status of the MBOM for the assembly part.
This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the assembly.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the effectivity date that is being used to control which components are displayed.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the configuration ID that is being used to control which components are displayed.
The fields in this group box provide details about the component lines of the assembly part, subject to the selection criteria.
This field displays the line number for the MBOM component line selected on the main screen.
This field displays the drawing find number for the MBOM component line selected on the main screen.
These fields display the component part number for the MBOM line and a description of the part.
This field displays the component part revision for the MBOM line.
This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the component.
Enter the sequence number for this text code to determine printing order. This required field can have any value of from 0 to 999.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the text code to attach to this component for MBOM printing. This required field can have up to 10 alphanumeric characters and must be a valid standard text code from the Where-Used subtask of the Standard Text screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
This field displays the description of the text code.
Enter "Y" in this required field to activate this text code for printing; enter "N" to inactivate the code.
This field displays the document print option, which shows the types of documents in which the text will print: internal, external, or both.
Select this pushbutton to automatically load all text codes that have been made available to Costpoint Bills of Material from the Where-Used subtask of the Standard Text screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
The information in this screen is stored in the MFG_BOM_TEXT table. Information is also stored in and pulled from the MFG_BOM, ITEM, PART, and STD_TEXT tables.
