Use this subtask to view information about the component line selected on the main screen.
The fields in this group box display basic information about the assembly.
This field displays the assembly or parent part for which the MBOM is being created. The untitled field below displays a description of the part.
This field displays the revision of the assembly or parent part for which you are creating the MBOM.
This field displays the release status of the MBOM for the assembly part.
This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the assembly.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the effectivity date that is being used to control which components are displayed.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the configuration ID that is being used to control which components are displayed.
The fields in this group box display details about the component lines of the assembly part, subject to the selection criteria.
The line number for this MBOM component line from the main screen is displayed in this field.
This field displays the drawing find number used for this MBOM component line from the main screen.
This field displays the component part number for this MBOM line. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.
The component part revision for this MBOM line displays in this field.
This field displays the Commercial and Government Entity code (CAGE ID) for the component part.
This field, from the component line of the main screen, displays "M" (Make) or "B" (Buy) to indicate the status of the component.
This field, from the component line on the main screen, displays the component type code: "B" (Buy w/Comp), "S" (Standard), "P" (Phantom), "R" (Reference), and "T" (Tool).
This field displays the release status of the component part.
This field displays the component quantity type code from the main screen: "A" (Per Assembly), "O" (Per Order), and "R" (As Required).
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the warehouse from which this backflushed component should be pulled for the manufacturing orders of this assembly. You must enter a valid warehouse of up to eight alphanumeric characters from the Warehouses table in Costpoint Inventory. If the component part is not a backflush part, this field will be disabled. This field comes from Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition and can be changed here.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the location from which this backflushed component should be pulled for the manufacturing orders of this assembly. If the component part is not a backflush part, this field will be disabled. This field comes from Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition. The entry in this field must be a valid location for the backflush warehouse.
Enter the percentage (from 0.00 to 999.99) of this component that you expect to be lost when manufacturing this assembly. This required numeric field comes from the Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition but can be changed here.
Select this checkbox to prevent Costpoint Material Requirements Planning from exploding requirements past this component.
Select this checkbox to prevent Costpoint Material Requirements Planning from including this component in its requirement generation.
This field displays the total lead time in days set for the component from the Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
Enter the number of days by which the assembly lead time can be reduced for picking this component. This value comes from the Default Component Lead Time Offset field in the Assembly Information subtask of this screen. You can change this required numeric field to any value between 0 and 9999.
Enter the work center to which this component is to be issued when building this assembly. This optional field of up to 12 alphanumeric characters must be a valid ID from the Work Centers screen.
Enter the change notice responsible for this component on this MBOM. This optional field can have up to 10 alphanumeric characters. This field is disabled if Costpoint Engineering Change Notices is implemented.
The information in this screen is stored in the MFG_BOM table. Information is also stored in and/or pulled from the ITEM, PART, and WORKCENTER tables.
