Use this subtask to assign reference information for the selected component.
The fields in this group box provide basic information about the assembly.
This field displays the assembly or parent part for which the EBOM is being created. A description of the part is also displayed in the untitled field below.
This field displays the revision of the assembly or parent part for which the EBOM is being created.
This field displays the release status of the EBOM for the assembly part.
This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the assembly.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, contains the configuration ID used to control which components are displayed.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the effectivity date used to control which components are displayed.
The fields in this group box display details about the component lines of the assembly part, subject to the selection criteria.
This field displays the line number for the EBOM component line selected on the main screen.
This field displays the drawing find number for the EBOM component line selected on the main screen.
These fields display the component part number for the EBOM line and a description of the part.
The component part revision for the EBOM line displays in this field.
This field, from the component line of the main screen, displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the component.
Use this field for assigning reference text to the selected component line. If you selected the Use Extended Length Reference Designators checkbox in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen, you can enter up to 32,000 characters. If the checkbox is not selected, the standard 254-character length applies. Changing the status of this checkbox after certain Reference Designator fields have been populated and saved may cause data integrity problems. The information in this screen is stored in the ENG_BOM_REF and ENG_BOM tables. Information is also stored in and/or pulled from the ITEM, PART, and PROV_PART tables.
