TOOLBAR ICONS

Data Entry Toolbar

The following toolbar icons are available on most Costpoint data entry screens to provide easy access to the most commonly used features. All of these features can also be found on the menu bar, and, as with the menu bar feature, are grayed-out when not available. Please refer to the other Basic Functions sections for instructions on using these features. The toolbar icons are:

New     My Menu     Query     Subquery     New Line     Lookup     Find    

Navigate     Prev     Next     Complete     Save     Close     Help

As with other Windows applications, you can use the hot keys [ALT+TAB], [ALT+SHIFT+TAB], and [CTRL+ESC] to move between different Costpoint functions and non-Costpoint applications. The Window functions can also be used to move between functions. Please refer to your Windows manual, or run the Windows tutorial, for more information on routine Windows functions.

Inquiry Toolbar

The following toolbar icons are available on the main screen of Costpoint inquiry functions to provide easy access to their most commonly used features. As with the menu bar functions, these items are grayed-out when not available. Please refer to the other Basic Function sections for instructions on using these features. The toolbar icons are:

New     My Menu     Subquery     Lookup     Navigate     Execute     Complete

Export     Close     Help    Match (no image)     Customize    Table (no image)

Subtask Icons

The following toolbar icons are available on the subtasks of Costpoint inquiry functions. Because the subtasks do not have menu bars, the only way to start these features is either to select a button or select the underlined letter for the button, such as [ALT+C] for the Close. These icons are grayed-out when not available. The toolbar icons are:

First - Click this button to bring up the first row of the table window on the main screen or subtask and makes its expanded information available for review. This button is "grayed-out" if the current row is actually the first row in the parent's table window.

Prev - Click this button to bring up the row immediately previous to the currently active row of the table window on the main screen or subtask. This button is "grayed-out" if the current row is the first row in the parent's table window.

Next - Click this button to bring up the row immediately following the currently active row of the table window on the main screen or subtask. This button is "grayed-out" if the current row is the last row in the parent's table window.

Last - Click this button to bring up the last row of the table window on the main screen or subtask. This button is "grayed-out" if the current row is actually the last row in the parent's table window.
