INVOICE NOTES

Use this subtask to enter notes about a specific invoice. Each comment about an invoice is sorted by a date that you enter next to the comment. These comments can then be printed out on various reports. You can also enter the date that you expect the payment to be received, based on your conversations with the customer.

Invoice Number

This field displays the invoice number that was selected on the main screen.

Invoice Due Date

This field displays the due date for this invoice.

Invoice Balance Due

This field displays the current balance due since the last time the billings or cash receipts were posted. If you want to see the detail of the postings, use the Invoice Detail subtask.

Customer Account

These fields display the customer account and name from the main screen.

Finance Charges Computed

This field displays the finance charge that was calculated for this invoice.

Project

This non-editable field displays the project number to which this invoice relates. It can be blank, if the invoice did not relate to a specific project number.

Bill No

The bill number is displayed in this field.

Charges Received

This field displays the charges received from the main screen.

Sales Order

This field displays the sales order number from the main screen. This field will populate if an invoice is created because of a sales order.

Customer PO

This field displays the customer PO number from the main screen. This field will populate if your company enters a customer PO number on its billing.

Net Amt Due

This field displays the net amount due. The system calculates this value by adding the Invoice Balance Due to the Finance Charges Computed and subtracting any Charges Received.

Table Window

Date

Enter the reference date for this comment. Only the latest date will be printed on the A/R Aging Reports.

Anticipated Receipt Date

Enter the date the cash receipt is expected, i.e., when you expect to receive payment of the invoice.

Comments

Enter a short note about the invoice.  For example, you could describe a conversation with the customer.
