GATHER/PREPARE

Use this screen to gather cost related data for specified projects (range) and an ending period. Gathered data is stored in a temporary table in Costpoint before being moved to MS Project. You can include labor cost and hours, non-labor cost and burden, or both.

You must use this screen before you can view gathered data, and before you can transfer Costpoint data to MS Project. You must post expenses and calculate pool rates, burden costs, and revenue before running this screen.

Select

Use items in this group box to specify a range of projects for which you want to gather/prepare data from Costpoint.

Range

Use this drop-down box to select the range of projects to gather. Valid options are "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To end." The default for this field is "All."

From

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the starting project ID for the range that you want to gather. If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive. If you enter a project ID, be sure that the ID exists in Costpoint.

To

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ending project ID for the range that you want to gather. If you select "All," "One," or "To End" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive. If you enter a project ID, be sure that the ID exists in Costpoint.

Inactive Projects

Select this checkbox to include inactive projects in the range that you selected.

Ending Period

Use this group box to define the ending period of the data that you want to gather.

Fiscal Year

Enter, or use this drop-down box to select, the fiscal year of the data that you want to gather. This field is required.

Period

Enter, or use the drop-down box to select, the period of the data that you want to gather. This field is required.

Subperiod

Enter, or use the drop-down box to select, the subperiod of the data that you want to gather. This field is required.

As of Date

This non-editable field displays the period ending date relevant to your selections in the preceding drop-down boxes.

Include

Use the checkboxes in this group box to specify the charges to select for your gathered data.

Labor Cost and Hours

Select this checkbox to gather data that includes labor cost and hours.

Non-Labor Cost and Burden

Select this checkbox to gather data that includes non-labor cost and burden.

Gather/Prepare

Select this pushbutton to gather the requested data from Costpoint and prepare it for transfer to MS Project. When you select this pushbutton, data corresponding to the options selected in the group boxes is staged in a temporary table in Costpoint.
