Use the Purge ESS Data screen to delete records from the life event and/or open enrollment benefits staging tables in ESS. Use this application once you have created and downloaded the Benefits Options information (created in the Activate Pending Benefit Elections screen). If you are purging open enrollment benefit information, you should purge after the open enrollment period has ended.
Select this checkbox to purge data for all taxable entities ("companies" in Costpoint 4.0) in Deltek Costpoint. Selecting this checkbox disables and clears the Taxable Entity field. If you do not select this checkbox, the Taxable Entity field will be enabled.
If you did not select the All Taxable Entities checkbox, enter, or use Lookup to select, the ID of the taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0) whose employee data will be purged. The Taxable Entity field can be up to 10 alphanumeric characters, and the description that is associated with the taxable entity ID (up to 40 alphanumeric characters) defaults. Taxable entity information is established in the Set Up Company Info screen in the Organizations menu in Costpoint General Ledger.
Select this checkbox to purge open benefits enrollment data for the specified ESS staging table(s) and taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0) or taxable entities.
Select this checkbox to purge life event benefits data for the specified ESS staging table(s) and taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0) or taxable entities.
Select this checkbox to purge data from the ESS Benefit Options table for the selected record type(s) and taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0) or taxable entities.
Select this checkbox to purge data from the ESS Employee Benefit Elections table for the selected record type(s) and taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0) or taxable entities.
Select this checkbox to purge data from the ESS Dependent Benefit Elections table for the selected record type(s) and taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0) or taxable entities.
Select this radio button to delete all records from the selected table(s) in the Select ESS Table group box (ESS Employee Benefit Elections or ESS Dependent Benefit Elections). Use caution with this option; you do not want to purge records for the current open enrollment period.
Select this radio button to purge only records that have previously been uploaded in to Costpoint Benefits from the selected table(s) in the Select ESS Table group box.
Enter the date to be used as a basis for deleting rows from the selected ESS table(s). This field is required.
If you did not select the All Taxable Entities checkbox and you select the Process button on the toolbar, the system will display the following warning message:
"Data for employees of [Taxable Entity] will be purged from the selected ESS table. Do you wish to continue?"
Select Yes to continue the process, or select No to discontinue.
If you selected the All Taxable Entities checkbox and you select the Process button from the toolbar, the system will display the following warning message:
"All data will be purged from the selected ESS table. Do you wish to continue?"
Select Yes to continue the process, or select No to discontinue.
