Use the Set/Reset Login Info screen to set and update initial ESS login information for employees within a selected taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0). You can use this application to set the ESS PIN ID for all employees of the selected taxable entity using the employee's four-digit year of birth and the last four digits of his social security number. You can also set the class of service for all employees of the selected taxable entity to the Default Class of Service defined in the ESS Company Settings screen. If you set the ESS PIN ID, the employees will be prompted to change this PIN after their next successful login to ESS.
Run this utility when initializing ESS.
Select this checkbox to set or reset the ESS PIN or class of service for employees of all taxable entities ("companies" in Costpoint 4.0). Selecting this checkbox disables and clears the Taxable Entity field. If you do not select this checkbox, the Taxable Entity field will be enabled.
If you did not select the All Taxable Entities checkbox, enter, or use Lookup to select, the ID of the taxable entity ("company" in Costpoint 4.0) whose employees will have their ESS PIN or Class of Service set or reset. The Taxable Entity field can be up to 10 alphanumeric characters, and the description that is associated with the taxable entity ID (up to 40 alphanumeric characters) defaults. Taxable entity information is established in the Set Up Company Info screen in the Organizations menu in Costpoint General Ledger.
Select at least one checkbox in this screen to enable the processing options in this application.
Select this checkbox to set the ESS PIN ID for employees of the selected taxable entity using the employee's four-digit year of birth and the last four digits of his social security number. This checkbox is unselected when you first access this screen.
Select this checkbox to set or reset the class of service for all employees of the selected taxable entities using the Default Class of Service for each taxable entity from the ESS Company Settings screen. This checkbox is unselected when you first access this screen.
Once you enter the Taxable Entity ID whose employees' initial ESS login information and/or class of service will be set or reset, select the Process button on the toolbar to execute the application. The system will display the following message:
"ESS login information will be set/reset for employees of [Taxable Entity Name (Company Name in Costpoint 4.0)] Do you wish to continue?"
Select No to return to the main screen. However, if you select Yes, the following warning will appear:
"Warning: You are changing PINs for ALL employees of the selected taxable entity or taxable entities. Remember that you will need to notify employees of their new PIN. The Print Login Info screen should be used to obtain this information. Do you wish to continue?"
Select Yes to continue the process, or select No to discontinue.
