Use this application to view an employee's life event user-flow status. ESS administrators can use this application to view what the employee has completed or not completed in the flow. You can also use this screen to delete an employee's life event user-flow record.
When an employee selects a Life Event in the ESS Life Events/New Hires module, the user flow assigned to that Life Event in the ESS Life Event Setup screen is automatically assigned to the Employee/Life Event/Life Event Date combination. ESS will track an employee’s progress through the user-flow and store the Status of each module in the Life Event User Flow Status table.
You can use this screen when you need to determine where an employee is in his Life Event user-flow. You can also use this screen when you need to override an employee's user flow confirmation status, add a new module to the user flow, delete a module from the user flow, or change an ESS module's Status in the user flow.
Select the Confirmed checkbox to prevent the employee from accessing the user flow for the Life Event/Life Event Date. Deselect the Confirmed checkbox to open the Life Event/Life Event Date's user flow so that the employee can make further changes in ESS.
You may find that the modules assigned to the Life Event in the ESS Life Event Setup screen do not apply to every employee that has that Life Event. When this occurs, you can use this screen to modify the user flow.
This field displays the employee ID. The untitled field to the right displays the employee's name.
This field displays the life event code for this employee.
This field displays the date of the Life Event.
Select this checkbox if the employee has confirmed the modules for this employee life event user flow.
If this checkbox is selected, any benefit elections made through this life event user-flow have been activated in the Activate Pending Benefit Elections screen.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ESS module name for the life event's ESS user-flow. When you use Lookup, only those ESS modules that are not Benefits-related are available for selection (i.e., the Benefit Module field will be "N").
This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate whether or not the module in the ESS Module field is Benefits-related. Once you have initiated a life event user-flow, you cannot add a Benefits module to it.
Use the drop-down box in this field to select the status of the module in the life event's ESS user-flow. Valid selections are:
Saved - The employee has edited and saved information for the module in ESS via the life event's user-flow.
No Change - The employee has reviewed the ESS module via the life event's user-flow and has not changed any information.
Pending - The employee has not yet reviewed the module in ESS for the life event's user-flow.
Come Back Later - The employee has reviewed the ESS module via the life event's user-flow, but has not yet decided whether a change is necessary.
Not Eligible - The module does not apply to the employee. This occurs if, for example, the module is not assigned to the employee's Class of Service.
Not Applicable - This status applies only to the ESS W-4 and State Withholding modules. A status of "Not Applicable" indicates that no Employee Payroll Tax record has been set up for the employee.
