Use this application to approve life event selections made by employees in the Life Events/New Hires module in ESS. When you open this screen, the table window displays all the life event selections that employees made in ESS that require approval.
You should check this screen regularly to determine whether an employee has submitted a life event for approval. If a Life Event is set up to require approval, the employee will not be able to go through the Life Event's user-flow until it is approved. After approving a Life Event, the employee should be notified so that he can begin the Life Event's user-flow process in ESS.
This field displays the employee ID.
This field displays the employee's name.
This field displays the life event code for this employee.
This field displays the life event code's description.
This field displays the date of the life event. If a Life Event has been specified, the Change Period End Date column will display the Date plus the Change Period Days.
Select this checkbox to approve the life event for the employee.
This field displays the classification type (either "Work Event" or "Personal Event") that applies to the life event.
This field displays the number of days after a life event date that the employee is eligible to select/change benefit elections. It is also the number of days that the employee is eligible to make changes and/or selections in the life event's user flow in ESS.
This field displays the ending date of the change period for the life event. This is the last day on which the employee can make benefit selections/changes in Costpoint, and the last day that the employee can make life event user flow selections/changes in ESS.
If this checkbox is selected, the life event qualifies an employee for benefit enrollment or benefit changes.
Select this pushbutton to approve all employee life events in the table window. The Approved checkbox will be selected for each row when you select this pushbutton.
Select this pushbutton to activate approved employee life events.
