Use this screen to create a mapping of Costpoint pools and Cost Of Money to Cobra results. Identify the value type in the table window and then identify the Costpoint pool and Cobra result. If you have established a database connection in the Cobra Interface Settings screen, you can use to select and validate the Cobra results. Hours and direct costs automatically display in the Costpoint Values field and cannot be edited. You should map these to the same Cobra result if they exist.
Best business practice is to map all overhead and fringe pools into a single overhead result in Cobra.
You must set up at least one Cobra cost template before you can complete the Cobra Interface Settings screen. You must set up all the necessary Cobra cost templates before you can run the extraction process.
Use the fields in this group box to enter the template ID and the template name. The system uses templates to map Costpoint pools and COM to Cobra results.
These templates will be used in the Cobra Extraction Parameters screen. In the Cobra Extraction Parameters screen you can assign specific Costpoint projects or Cobra programs to use specific charge templates, budget element templates, and cost templates during the extraction process. This will allow you to customize the relationship between sets of Cobra programs and the Costpoint projects. You can set up as many templates as needed in this screen.
Enter up to 15 alphanumeric characters for a template ID. You can create as many template IDs as necessary.
Enter up to 25 alphanumeric characters for a template name. The template name displays in the drop-down list in the Cobra Extraction Parameters screen. You should select a name that adequately describes the type of cost template, and will make the selection from the drop-down list easy.
Use the table window in this group box to map Costpoint values to Cobra results. You can select Pools or COM in the CP Value Type column and enter the Costpoint values in the Costpoint Values column. You can use to enter the Cobra results if you have established a database connection in the Cobra Interface Settings screen.
Use the drop-down list to select Pool for an indirect cost pool or COM for Cost of Money. Values of Hours and Direct automatically display in this column and cannot be changed. You should map these rows to the same Cobra result if they are available.
Enter, or use to select pool numbers or COM pool numbers. You can use wildcards in this field. The type of value (Pool or COM) will depend on the selection in the CP Value Type field.
Enter, or use to select, the Cobra results value. The binoculars icon and field validation will only be available if you have entered the database connection information in the Cobra Interface Settings screen. The labels for Hours and Direct are defaulted in, but may be changed if the Cobra system uses a different label. Hours and Direct are the default labels in Cobra.
To prevent indirect information from being broken out separately in the .csv file, the indirect pools and COM can be mapped to the same Cobra result as the direct costs from Costpoint.
Changes to this screen update the TEMPL_HDR (Template Header) and the CB_CST_TEMPL (Cobra Cost Template) tables.
