Use this screen to assign established standard text to an individual item. Standard text, when associated with an item, automatically prints on any of the documents selected in the Standard Text Where-Used subtask.
Assign standard text to an item to identify additional quality requirements, specific packaging requirements, or other information.
Assign standard text at any time. However, you must set up text codes and descriptions in this screen in the Standard Text screen.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the item to which you want to assign text. The description for this item is displayed in the untitled field below. Item refers to a part, good, or service.
The revision number of the item you selected in the Item field will default to the latest revision but can be changed, if necessary.
The item type is displayed, identifying this item as a part, good, or service.
Enter a standard text code, or part thereof, to search for a particular text code.
These fields display the text codes and descriptions. These fields default from the Standard Text screen.
Highlight the text code(s) in the Text Codes group box that you want assigned to this item and use the Select pushbutton to assign the code and move it to the Selected Text Codes group box. Highlight the text code(s) in the Selected Text Codes group box that you want to remove and use the Deselect pushbutton to move them back to the Text Codes group box.
This field displays the code and description that you selected.
Enter "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate whether the selected text codes for this item are active. The default status is "Y" (Yes).
Select this pushbutton to open the Standard Text Where-Used subtask.
The ITEM_TEXT table stores information for this screen. Information for assigning standard text is also stored in and/or pulled from the following tables: ITEM, STD_TEXT, S_WHERE_USED, TEXT_WHERE_USED.

Use this subtask to view a text code to determine the reports/documents for which the text may be available.
This field displays the selected item ID. A description of the item is displayed below this field.
This field displays the revision level, if applicable, of the selected item.
This field displays the selected text code ID. A description of the text code displays in the adjacent field.
Use this group box to indicate where the selected text will print. The system-defined selections are as follows:
Select this radio button to print text on both internal and external documents
Select this radio button to print text on external documents only, such as a purchase order.
Select this radio button to print text on internal documents only, such as a receiver report
This field displays the description of the document where the selected text is used. This field defaults from the Where-Used subtask of the Standard Text screen.
