Use this subtask to create various unit of measure conversions for this part using the codes established in the Units of Measure screen. Use it when initializing the part and when making additions or changes.
These fields display data from the Part ID, Rev, U/M, and Desc fields from the main screen.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the code indicating the unit of measure being converted "From."
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the code indicating the unit of measure being converted "To."
Enter the conversion factor. The conversion factor is the value by which the "From" unit of measure is to be multiplied or divided to determine the "To" unit of measure.
Enter "M" (Multiply) or "D" (Divide) to indicate whether to multiply or divide the Conv Factor to determine the unit of measure.
Enter the rounding type code. The available rounding types are: "N" (Normal rounding rules) for no rounding, "U" (Up) to increase to the next higher whole number, or "D" (Down) to lower to the previous whole number. This field is required. If you leave this field blank, the system will default to "N" (Normal).

You can associate a given part with many different units of measure. You might order the given part as cases one time and in boxes the next. This would give you two different U/M From codes. You can stock both of them into inventory as EACH, so you need to convert from CASES to EACH and from BOXES to EACH. This allows you to set up all possible combinations for the given part.
