INTERFACE INSTANCE CONFIGURATION

Use this subtask to enter configuration information for this interface instance ID. This subtask contains several required fields that must be populated before you can save the record.

Interface Instances

Instance ID

This non-editable field displays the instance ID from the main screen.

Status

This non-editable field displays the instance ID's status from the main screen.

Options

Active

The setting for this check box defaults from the Active check box in the main screen. You must select this check box in order to process data for the current interface instance ID record.

Audit On

The setting for this check box defaults from the Audit On check box in the main screen. Select this check box to enable audit processing for the current interface instance ID record. If you select this check box, the Audit field will be set to Y (Yes) for all lines in the Instance Objects table window in the main screen.

Trace On

The setting for this check box defaults from the Trace On check box in the main screen. Select this check box to enable data tracing for the current interface instance ID record. If you select this check box, the Trace field will be set to Y (Yes) for all lines in the Instance Objects table window in the main screen.

If you enable the Audit and Trace capabilities, the system will record detailed information about the integration environment and execution into log files.  The Trace capability adversely affects the application's performance because additional processing is required to capture the necessary detailed information.

Integration Database Definition

Use this group box to define the settings for connectivity to the integration database (these tables currently reside in your Costpoint database).

Platform

Select the integration database platform information from the drop-down list. Valid options are:

This is a required field.

If you are using Gupta SQLBase, please be sure to inform Deltek's Application Integration Group.

Connectivity

Enter the integration database connectivity information (for example, server and database name for MSS in the "server\\database" format; or the TNSNAME of your database for Oracle) in this required field.

User

Enter the user ID that the user must use to connect to the integration database. This field is required.

Password

Enter the password that the user must use to connect to the integration database. This field is required.

Interval Definition

Use this group box to define the frequency with which the current instance will be processed.

Code

Use the drop-down box to select an interval code to specify when the instance should run. The system-defined values are:

The FILE option (to run when a specific file exists) is currently not supported. This field is required.

Frequency

Enter an interval frequency that matches your selected interval Code. This field will be disabled if you select the NOW option in the Code field.

The scheduler map process uses the interval Code and Frequency to select interface instances whose next interval (that is, the Next Processing Date/Time) falls on or before the current date and time.

File Name

This feature is currently not implemented. However, in future Interface Configuration and Scheduler versions, use this field to enter an existing file name that will cause this interface to be processed. This field will be required if the Code is FILE. This field will be disabled if the Code is not FILE.

Next Processing Date/Time

Enter a processing date and time to override the system date and time that defaults into these fields. Enter the value in the date field in "MM/DD/YYYY" format. Select the hour (HH), minute (MM), and seconds (SS) from the drop-down lists.

Root Directory

Enter the root directory from which the integration process was installed. This integration process typically defaults to "C:\Program Files\Deltek\Application Integration" on your integration server during the installation process. The information is not currently used in the integration processes, but should be maintained accurately for future requirements. This field is required.

Email Definition

Use this group box to define email access and desired recipients for interface process reporting.  Error reports (and warnings if the Record Warnings field is Y for the Object ID row) will be sent to the specified email addresses. The information entered here will default into the object list on the main screen and can be overridden for specific objects if necessary.

Access

If you select the MAPI (Microsoft Mail API) Protocol, Microsoft Outlook must be accessible on the integration server.  If you select the INET (Internet Email) Protocol, you must specify the mail server name.

Protocol

Select the e-mail protocol from this drop-down list. Valid options are:

This field is required.

Server

Enter the email server in this field. This will be a required field if you select INET in the Protocol field.

User

Enter the email user ID in this required field.

Password

Enter the password for the email user ID in this required field.

Verification

For verification, re-enter the password you supplied in the Password field. This field is required.

Addresses

Use this group box to specify the primary and secondary email addresses (if enabled) that will receive the interface information. You must select the Primary Send To and/or Secondary Send To check boxes. You must enter a valid email address in the unlabeled field to the right of each check box you select.

Primary

Send To

Select this check box to have the interface information sent to the primary email address that you specify in the unlabeled field to the right. If you are entering a new record, this check box will default as checked when you access this subtask, and you must enter a valid email address in the unlabeled field on the right. If you do not select this check box, the Primary Email field will default to N (No) for all Object ID rows in the Instance Objects table window on the main screen.

Secondary

Send To

Select this check box to have the interface information sent to the secondary email address that you specify in the unlabeled field to the right. If you are entering a new record, this check box will default as checked when you access this subtask, and you must enter a valid email address in the unlabeled field on the right. If you do not select this check box, the Secondary Email field will default to N (No) for all Object ID rows in the Instance Objects table window on the main screen.
