Set Up Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)

You set up SAML to enable the users to use a single login to access both your organization's internal systems and your ConceptShare account. Your access to these settings is dependent on your version of ConceptShare.

Important: Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is available only in the Enterprise Edition of ConceptShare.

To set up SAML for your ConceptShare account:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. At the top right corner of your screen, click the Gear Wheel > SAML Settings.
  3. The default setting in the dialog box for the Is SAML Enabled option is Yes. The Save button is inactive unless this is changed to No. The Save button becomes active only after other settings/options are changed.
ConceptShare generates the Relying Party Metadata information containing the details that your IdP will need to establish a trust relationship with ConceptShare in XML format. Most IdPs can use this by pointing to the URL where this information is displayed. For more information, see https://www.deltek.com/en/learn/blogs/deltek-workbook/2020/01/dev-blog-configuring-single-sign-on-in-conceptshare.
  4. Select a setup option.
    OptionDescription
Set up using a Federation Metadata URL or equivalent.
    1. In the URL to config XML field, enter the URL. This is the location for the XML file prepared by your IT team with the configuration settings.
    2. Click Load Settings.
Note: If this option is used, all other fields will be populated. This is the preferred method because it leaves less room for error and requires less work for the ConceptShare administrator entering the information.
    3. Click Save.
Use manual entry. Specify the SAML details. For information about the fields and options, see Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) Settings.
  5. Click Save.
