Create a Custom Form

You can create custom forms for projects, assets, and reviews to help you gather data from date and text fields, or lists. Your access to these settings is dependent on your version of ConceptShare.

Important: Workflows are available only in the Enterprise Edition of ConceptShare.

To create a custom form:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. At the top right corner of your screen, click the Gear Wheel > Custom Forms.
  3. In the Custom Forms Categories column of the Custom Forms dashboard, select a category from the following:
    • Project
    • Asset
    • Review
    • To-do
  4. On the toolbar of your selected category, click Add .
  5. In the New Custom Form dialog box, enter this information:

    Name Enter a custom form name.
    Code This field is auto-populated with information from the Name field. The code is leveraged in workflows and APIs.
    Selected by default? Selecting Yes automatically assigns the custom form every time an item of this type is created, unless the creator of the project disables this setting.
    Description Enter a description. Include details such as information on any system the form draws from or provides information to. Form numbers and product lines are imported to ConceptShare's Digital Asset Management (DAM) to help with reporting and document retrieval.
  6. Click Save.
