Configure the ConceptShare Add-On for Jira

If you are an instance administrator, you must configure the ConceptShare Add-on so you can add the ConceptShare Issue Types to both new and existing Jira Projects.

Note: Perform this task in Jira.

Before you can configure the add-on for Jira, you must install the add-on through the Atlassian Marketplace, and you must be set up as an Administrator in the ConceptShare account provided to you.

Requirements
  • Jira Cloud or Jira Server
  • For both Jira Cloud and Jira Server, the ConceptShare user credentials you provide in the following steps are used by the plugin to communicate with ConceptShare and perform actions. We recommend that the ConceptShare account admin user be specifically created for use with the Jira integration, rather than reuse a personal account from a human user. People’s personal ConceptShare accounts might be deleted or deactivated over time, or their roles changed, which could inadvertently disrupt the plugin’s functionality for everyone using the integration

To configure the add-on for Jira:

  1. Log into your Jira account.
  2. Under the Administration section of your Jira account, click Add-ons > Manage Add-ons > ConceptShare JIRA Add-on > Configure.
  3. In the ConceptShare Add-On Configuration dialog box, re-enter the information in the following fields:
    FieldDescription
    ConceptShare Domain Re-enter your domain.
    ConceptShare Username Re-enter your username.
    ConceptShare Password Re-enter your password.
Note: Each field was provided to you when the ConceptShare instance was set up. However, you must re-enter them for the add-on to function properly.

The ConceptShare user name and password are the credentials for the ConceptShare account admin user, NOT your Jira credentials.

  4. Click Configure Add-on.
