Settings
Use these settings to configure your ConceptShare account. Some of the settings that you can control include the standard date and time format, frequency of password refresh, and email notifications.
Proofing Workspace

| Send a welcome email to new users when they are added to the account. | This setting prompts ConceptShare to send a welcome email that invites users to set up a password and accept the terms and conditions to access ConceptShare. |
| Send an email to users when they attempt to login prior to registering | Selecting On sends an email to users prompting them to register first before logging in. |
| Send an email to users when they request password reset | Selecting On sends an email to users who request a password reset. If your user passwords are managed centrally, for example, by a single sign-on integration, you should select Off. |

| Send authenticated URLs in emails so recipients can log in to ConceptShare automatically | Selecting
On allows users to click an authenticated link in a notification email to open a Project, Review, or Asset without requiring a login. Selecting
Off would require a user to log in before performing any task in ConceptShare.
CAUTION: Forwarding the email with the authenticated link to others will allow them to log in directly using the link owner's credentials.

Login Constraints

| If a user fails their password attempt the maximum number of times in ___ minutes, they'll be locked out of the system. | This setting enables you to set the duration in minutes users can enter an incorrect password before they are locked out of the system. |

User Notification Preferences

Important: User notification preferences set the selections for all your users' individual notifications until they set preferences for themselves.
Password Rules

| How many of these four requirements does a password need to have? Lower case (a-z), upper case (A-Z), numbers (0-9) and other characters (!$%@, etc.). | This setting enables you to specify the number of characters a password must have for each requirement. |
| How many days does a user have to wait after changing their password to change it again? | This setting enables you to specify the number of days that users have to wait after changing a password before they can change it again. |

Polling

Render Options

Note: This process drops the image DPI/Density to 72 DPI, converts it to sRGB, and then resizes it to 4050 x 4050 pixels.

| Render PDF files as raster graphics (IE9 Compatibility mode) | Selecting
On converts PDF pages to images for maximum compatibility. This allows Internet Explorer 9 users to view the full content of PDF files. To convert PDF Assets to images, select the
Optimize option when uploading Assets.
Note: Text-based annotation tools are disabled for PDF files that were uploaded as raster graphics.

This ensures that you can download a copy of the original file directly from ConceptShare at any time. Otherwise, ConceptShare generates a proxy, which is then returned when users download an Asset. |

Security

UI

Watermark

On enables intellectual property protection of Assets. ConceptShare applies an image overlay to the Asset to indicate that it is watermark-protected. An icon overlay is applied to Asset previews and thumbnails, which are also blurred.
Downloading any watermarked Asset is disabled. The default setting is Off. |
| Default watermark text (user identification and date viewed will be included) | This setting allows you to set custom text that will be part of the watermark overlay.
If no value is specified, the default value (the user ID of the person viewing the Asset + the view date) is used.
Note: Email address can also be selected instead of user ID.
The maximum length of text is 256 characters. Note: Watermark text may not be legible on very small images.
