This upgrade will provide enhanced features, improved performance, and ongoing security updates. It will also ensure that ComputerEase and its future releases continue to operate smoothly and securely.
Bank Reconciliation Updates
The General Ledger > Reconcile Account dialog box has been updated with the following features to simplify bank reconciliations:
- Select Account: In this dialog box, the Cash Account field is renamed to General Ledger Account.
- Sort: This button enables you to add a secondary sort order for any of the columns. You can still click a column heading to create a primary sort.
- Show Detail: This button (or double-clicking a bank reconciliation item) provides supporting posting details or opens the Posting Cross-Reference report. This button is enabled only if the item has available details. Applicable item types include accounts payable invoices, payments, and voids; accounts receivable invoices and payments; and journal entries.
- To assist with consistent file names, when saving the bank reconciliation and if the GL period is not blank, the default file description is automatically populated with the following format: [GL Period Year]-[GL Period Month]-GL-[GL Account Number]. This can be overwritten, if required.
The Amount column is split into two columns.
- If the GL account type is asset, the columns are the following:
- Receipts: Populated with debits to the account.
- Payments: Populated with credits to the account.
- If the GL account type is liability, the columns are the following:
- Payments: Populated with debits to the account.
- Purchases: Populated with credits to the account.
Clicking the column headers sorts the rows by that column in ascending or descending order.

Fiscal Year Display Option
The General Ledger Parameters has a new display option for fiscal year users with Period Configurations of 12 Period (4/4/5+), 12 Period (5/4/4+), 12 Period (4/4+/5), or 12 Period (4/4/5+Sat). When the Display Periods as Calendar Month/Year option is selected, you will be prompted with the calendar month and year for the first fiscal period, and subsequent periods will follow. Once established, the period lookup fields in the system will display the calendar month and year combination for each fiscal year period (e.g., Sep, 2025).
If this option is not selected, the system period lookup fields will provide the fiscal year period and ending fiscal year (e.g., #1, 2026). This is the default display.

General Ledger Report Updates
When the General Ledger Posting Detail is displayed or printed, it will now contain the Posting Period in the header. This is useful for the new bank reconciliation drilling detail feature as it identifies the general ledger period in which the transaction was posted.
