Enable Ask Dela

Follow this procedure to configure and manage access to the Dela chat feature.

Attention: For installation instructions, see the Deltek PPM Ask Dela Installation Guide.

To enable Ask Dela:

  1. Run the Deltek Ask Dela for PPM Products installer

    Note: You can download the Deltek Ask Dela for PPM Products installer and related documentation from Deltek Software Manager (DSM). To download the installer:
    • If you are using PPM Administrator, navigate to PPM Administrator » PPM Administrator 1.0 (GA) » Sub-Release.
    • If you are using EPM Security Administrator, navigate to EPM Security Administrator » EPM Security Administrator 8.6 (GA) » Sub-Release.

    Important: Deltek recommends that you always download and install the latest Deltek Ask Dela for PPM Products installer to ensure access to the most up-to-date product information.

  2. Run the database scripts required to enable Ask Dela in Cobra.

  3. Create an Azure AI service that provides the endpoint to connect Ask Dela to your AI model provider.

  4. Create the required model deployments that Ask Dela uses to process user questions and retrieve relevant product information.

  5. Set up the chat service URL, which defines the API endpoint used by Ask Dela.

  6. Set Up Ask Dela in PPM Administrator or EPM Security Administrator.

    After Ask Dela is enabled, the Ask Dela icon displays in the upper-right area of Cobra Explorer, before the Help icon.
