Enable Dela

Follow this procedure to configure and manage access to the Dela chat feature.

To enable Dela:

  1. Run the Ask Dela installer.
    Note: Use Deltek Software Manager (DSM) to download the installer. For detailed installation steps, see the Deltek PPM Ask Dela Installation Guide.

    After installation, the Ask Dela icon displays in the upper-right area of Cobra Explorer, before the Help icon.

  2. Configure Dela in PPM Administrator.
    On the Communication menu, enter the service URL in the Chat Service URL field on the DELA tab.
    Attention: For more information, see the “Dela Tab on the Communication Menu” topic in the PPM Administrator Help System.

    After Dela is configured in PPM Administrator, clicking the Ask Dela icon in Cobra displays the Ask Dela chat window. If Dela is not configured, clicking the Ask Dela icon in Cobra displays the following message: “Dela is not configured.”

  3. Control access to the Dela chat feature in PPM Administrator.
    On the Groups Security tab, configure the Dela item in the Communication field to control whether group members can manage access to the feature.
