Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Add Data Source Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to create a new data source or database connection.

Field Description
Name Use this field to enter a name for the new data source. You can use up to 59 alphanumeric characters. However, special characters (+ = [ ] | ” : < , > ? *) are not allowed.
Database Owner Use this field to enter the name of the database owner. The entered value is validated when you click OK in this dialog box, or when you click Next on the Data Source page. This field is required if you are using either a SQL server or an Oracle server.
Provider This field displays a list of available providers where you can connect your data.
Configure Click this button to configure your connection to the provider.

Depending on your selected provider, one of the following dialog boxes will display:

OK Click this button to return to the Data Sources page and add the newly defined data source to the list. The new data source is selected by default.
Cancel Click this button to disregard any change and return to the Data Sources page.
