Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.
    Ex.system administration

Supported Providers

The Cobra Data Tool supports .NET and OLE database providers.

.NET Data Providers
  • Oracle ODP.NET
  • SQL Server .NET Framework
OLE DB Providers
  • Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
  • Oracle Provider for OLE DB
  • SQL Server Native Client
It is important to consider the following information:
  • Deltek recommends you use the .NET data providers when setting up your data connection.
  • Using an OLE DB provider allows you to share the Datasources.dat file across multiple Deltek products, such as Open Plan 8.2 and wInsight 8.2 (or higher). If you are likely to do this, use an OLE DB provider; otherwise, you can use either type of driver.
  • You can customize and define your own list of OLE Database providers.
