Field Description
wInsight Extended Data Use these options to export data to wInsight. wInsight has an extended set of data, which is supported by transaction set version 4010. The extended data set includes the control account manager and project officer, hourly data, and future monthly budget and ETC.
  • Export wInsight Extended Data: Select this check box to export wInsight extended data.
    • Export Variance Narrative Data: Select this check box to export IPMR Format 5, using all categories of the narrative for every WBS code.
    • Export CSSR Data: Select this check box to export only the CSSR data.
    • Export CAM field: Select this check box to exclude the CAM field from the export. Select this check box only if you are exporting wInsight Extended Data.
Transaction Set Version Select the version of the ANSI EIA X12 Transaction Set 839 that you want to use to export project data.
  • Version 3040: Select this option to export IPMR Formats 1 and 2.
  • Version 4010: Select this option to export IPMR Formats 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Cobra also exports Format 5 if you select the Export Variance Narrative Data check box.

Manpower Units Select the unit for measuring manpower.
  • Hours: Select this check box to create the IPMR Format 4 using hours. The result code H in the resource assignment file defines the hour result.
  • FTE: Select this check box to calculate an average head count using the productive hours in the fiscal calendar. The CAP_FTE report provides the same values. The result code F in the resource assignment file defines the FTE result.
  • Aggregated FTEs: Select this check box to summarize the FTE result data. The result code F on the resource assignment file defines the FTE result.
  • This option should not be used for projects that use the rolling wave or any time phasing process aside from the monthly time phase because the aggregated values are calculated as if you ran a CAP report and selected the FTE result and calendar 9. This summarizes the weekly data and exaggerates the monthly FTE by the number of weeks in the month.
Enforce consecutive forecast periods Select this check box if the analysis tool you are using requires consecutive monthly data for forecast periods.

If you do not select this check box, Cobra summarizes weekly data in monthly periods.

Use yyyymmdd for dates instead of yymmdd Select this check box to use the 4-character year format for date information.
Filter unused elements of the structure Select this check box to exclude unused WBS/OBS codes from the export.
