Cost Data Export

The Cost Data Export feature supports export of Cobra data for integration with Acumen or wInsight using the Cost Data wizard. This feature also supports the creation of the Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Report (IPMDAR), a required government contractor-reporting format.

The Cost Data wizard steps you through the process of configuring the export to be able to generate the following file and format:
  • Deltek Common Data Exchange (DCDE), a proprietary Deltek format that can be read by Acumen and wInsight.
  • Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Report (IPMDAR), exported in ZIP format.
The Cost Data Export supports creating and saving configurations that can be used for future exports as well as by the API to automate the export process. You can backup and restore a saved configuration, similar to the Integration and wInsight configurations.

To secure access to the wizard, click Integration > Cost Data in the EPM SA tool.

When creating the DCDE or the IPMDAR format, take note of the following:

For DCDE and IPMDAR Formats
  • You must assign the results on the resource in the resource file with the correct result code in order to group data as hours, direct costs, and burdens. All data results required for export must have one of the following result codes:
    • D: Direct
    • C: COM
    • O: Overhead
    • G: G&A
  • In order to export Reprogramming Adjustment values, you must create cost sets for Schedule Variance (SV) and Cost Variance (CV).
For DCDE Format
  • You must ensure that the number of flagged periods in Calendar Set 19 are complete and correct.
