The Ad Hoc Data Discovery tab uses the same analysis period and analysis date as the Current Pipeline does. The default analysis period is automatically set to include all opportunities in the current pipeline.
If you use the calendar bars across the top of the tab to change the analysis period reflected in the table, Capture Analytics recalculates pipeline amounts based on the new set of opportunities with analysis dates in the modified analysis period.
Any change you make to the analysis period on either the Ad Hoc Data Discovery tab or the Current Pipeline tab is also applied to the other tab. However, no other analytic tabs are affected.
As part of Capture Analytics configuration, your system administrator specifies the date field in opportunity records that you want Capture Analytics to use to build the calendar for the Current Pipeline tab and Ad Hoc Data Discovery tab. That date field is the analysis date. The calendar, in turn, is used to do the following:
Determine which opportunities to include in the Current Pipeline Analytics and the Ad Hoc Data Discovery table, based on the analysis period
Group opportunities based on date for calculating current pipeline data by month, quarter, or year
The field your firm uses for the analysis date is displayed next to Calendar Based On in the upper-left corner of the Current Pipeline tab.
To select one calendar year, click that year. To select more than one year, do either of the following:
