Use the Metrics list to select the metrics for which you want to display values in the Ad Hoc Data Discovery table.
When you select a metric, Costpoint Analytics adds a column for it to the right of the dimension columns. Each row in a metric column contains the value of that metric for the combination of dimensions in that row.
Amount and Currency user-defined fields are not currently supported as metrics in the Ad Hoc Data Discovery table in Costpoint Analytics – Project.
Both the metric column data and the column names are affected by the user options you select.
For example, if you select the Profit Budget metric and you select the Profit and Forecast user options, the column name in the table is Profit Forecast Amount, and the column contains profit amounts based on your forecast. If instead you select Gross Profit and Baseline Budget, the column is named Gross Profit Baseline Budget Amount, and the column contains gross profit amounts based on your baseline budget.
If necessary, scroll the list horizontally to locate the metric, or right-click the list and select Search to search for it.
Click the metric.
If necessary, scroll the list horizontally to locate the first metric, or right-click the list and select Search to search for it.
Click the first metric, and then press CTRL as you click each of the other metrics.
You can also click each metric without pressing the CTRL key. If you use this method, it is recommended that you pause after each selection to let the table update before you select the next metric.
To deselect metrics, click one or multiple selected metrics, as described above.
To deselect all selected dimensions and measures, click on the main toolbar.
