Remove Loaded Data

If you load data into Costpoint Analytics and later need to remove some of that data, follow the procedures described here.

The following are two examples of when you would remove existing data:

Remove Budget Data or Proposal Attributes Data

To remove budget or proposal attributes data, complete the following steps:

  1. In Microsoft Excel, open the budget data file or the Proposal Attributes file.

  2. Delete the spreadsheet rows that contain the data you want to remove.

  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each data file from which you want to remove data.

  4. Do one of the following:

Costpoint Analytics SaaS: If you have a Costpoint Analytics SaaS Subscription, the option to load data using Full_CpA_Data_Load.bat is not available. However, Deltek Cloud Operations will run that batch file nightly to load your data for you, or you can use the Run Project Data Load Batch File and Run Employee Data Load Batch File buttons in the configuration applications to update your data.

Remove Actual Performance Data

Actual performance data that you load from Costpoint resides in Costpoint Analytics in .qvd files in two folders:

To remove actual performance data, complete the following steps:

  1. Delete all .qvd files from the Raw and Transform folders.

  2. For both Costpoint Analytics – Project and Costpoint Analytics – Employee, set the Current Period and Historical Data Load configuration options based on the fiscal periods that you want to make available in Costpoint Analytics.

  3. Make any other configuration changes that you want.

  4. Run the Full_CpA_Data_Load.bat file to do a full data load.

To run any of the .bat files to load data, you must log on to the Costpoint Analytics server as the DeltekAnalytics user or as another QlikView-licensed user that you have set up. Do not log on as the DeltekAnalyticsCW user to run these batch files.
