Client Info Center Group Codes
Client Info Center group codes let you retrieve information from the Client Info Center for use in Custom Proposals.
Activities Codes
These codes get data for the client’s activities.
You must use a begin code [Begin Activities] and an end code [End].
Because you can associate more than one activity with a client, the end code marks the start of the next activity.
Example:
[Activities:] begins activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[End] ends activity codes and specifies the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog Box, Detail Tab
Activity Custom Tab Codes
These codes merge out any custom fields added to the Activity dialog box. They have no separate group code and are at the end of the Activities Codes list in pane on the left side of the merge codes dialog box.
These codes can be used only within the Activities Codes group.
You must use a begin code [Begin Activity Tab: Custom] and an end code [End].
If the custom fields are within a grid, the grid’s caption must be used in the begin code. If the custom fields are individual fields, use the tab name in the begin code.
Example:
[Activities:] begins activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[Begin Activity Tab: Custom] begins the custom tab
[Tab Field: Manager] custom field code
[End] ends the custom tab codes and determines the merge location of the next custom field if the custom tab is a grid
[End] ends activity codes and determines the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog Box, Custom Tab
Activity Attendee Codes
These codes merge out all the selected employee attendees for an activity.
You must use a begin code <Begin Activity Attendees> and an end code <End>.
The Activity Attendee Codes can be used only within the Activities Codes group. You must first begin the Activities Codes; then you can begin the Activity Attendees Group codes.
Example:
Activities:] begins activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[Attendees:] begins activity attendees codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] ends activity attendees codes and determines the merge location of the next activity attendee
[End] ends activity codes and determines the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog Box, Attendees Tab
Activity Contacts Codes
These codes merge out all the selected activity contacts for an activity.
You must use a begin code <Begin Activity Contacts Codes> and an end code <End>.
Because an activity can have more than one contact, the placement of the end code determines where the next activity contact begins.
The Activity Contacts Codes may be used only within the Activities Codes group. You must first begin the Activities Codes, and then begin the Activity Contacts Group.
Example:
[Activities:] begins activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[Activity Contacts:] begins activity contacts codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] ends activity contacts codes and determines the merge location of the next activity contact
[End] ends activity codes and determines the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog Box, Contacts Tab
Activity Leads Codes
These codes merge out all the selected activity leads for an activity.
You must use a begin code <Begin Activity Leads Codes> and an end code <End>.
Because an activity can have more than one lead, the placement of the end code specifies where the next activity lead begins.
The Activity Leads Codes may be used only within the Activities Codes group. You must first begin the Activities Codes, and then you can begin the Activity Leads Group.
Example:
[Activities:] begins activity codes
[Activity Client: Name]
[Activity Leads:] begins activity leads codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] ends activity leads codes and determines the merge location of the next activity lead
[End] ends activity codes and determines the merge location of the next activity
Activity Dialog Box, Campaign/Leads Tab
All Addresses Codes
These codes merge out all of a client's addresses.
You must use a begin code <Begin All Addresses> and an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one address, the placement of the end code determines where the next address begins.
Example:
[Addresses:] begins all addresses codes
[Address1]
[Address2]
[City], [State]
[End] ends all addresses codes and determines the merge location of the next address
Associated Client Codes
This group code merges out all associated clients for the selected client records.
You must use a begin code <Begin Associated Client Codes> and an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one associated client, the placement of the end code determines where the next associated client begins.
Example:
[Associations:] begins associated clients codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[Phone]
[End] ends associated clients codes and determines the merge location of the next associated Client
Associations Tab of the Associations Grid
Contact Codes
This group merges out a client's linked contacts.
There are two begin codes in this group:
- <Select Contacts Begin Code> merges out the contacts selected for the clients in the Custom Proposals application.
- <All Contacts Begin Code> merges out all of the client's linked contacts.
You must also use an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one linked or selected contact, the placement of the end code determines where the next contact begins.
The address codes within this group merge out the contact’s Other/Home Address location.
Example:
[Contacts:] begins contacts codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[City], [State]
[End] ends the contacts codes and determines the merge location of the next contact
Clients Info Center, Contacts Tab
Contact Business Address Codes
These codes merge out the associated contact's business address.
The business address is the client or vendor address location selected for the linked contact record. You must use a begin code <Begin Contact Business Address Codes> and an end code <End>.
This group code works only if it is used within the Contact Codes Group.
The linked contact can have only one business address, so you can place the end code for the Contact Business Address Codes group right after the last field selected from within that group.
Example:
[Contacts:] begin contact codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[Contact Business Address:] begins the contacts business address
[Address1]
[Address2]
[City], [State][End] ends the contacts business address
[End] ends the contacts codes and determines the merge location of the next contact
Contact Info Center, General Tab
Contact Mailing Address Codes
These codes merge out the associated contact's mailing address. The mailing address is the address whose Mailing Address option is selected for either the Client or Vendor Address location or Other/Home.
You must use a begin code <Begin Contact Mailing Address Codes> and an end code <End>.
This group code works only if used within the Contact Codes Group.
The linked contact can have only one mailing address, so you can place the end code for the Contact Mailing Address Codes group right after the last field selected from within that group.
Example:
[Contacts:] begin contact codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[Contact Mailing Address:] begins the contacts mailing address
[Address1]
[Address2]
[City], [State][End] ends the contacts mailing address
[End] ends the contacts codes and determines the merge location of the
next contact
Contacts Info Center, General Tab
Custom Tab Codes
These codes merge out any custom tabs added to the Client Info Center.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
You must type the tab name exactly as it appears in the Client Info Center (it is case-sensitive) when you begin the tab.
If the custom tab is grid-style, the placement of the end code determines where the next row of data appears. If the custom tab is an individual field, you can place the end code right after the last field selected from that tab.
Example:
[Begin Tab: Affiliations] begins the custom tab named Affiliations
[Tab Field: Affiliation Name]
[End] ends the custom tab codes and determines the merge location of the next row from that custom tab (if grid-style)
Custom Tab - Affiliations
Employees Codes
These codes merge out a client’s linked employees.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one linked employee, the placement of the end code determines where the next linked employee begins.
Example:
[Employees:] begins the employees codes
[Firstname] [Lastname]
[End] ends the employees codes and determines the merge location of the next employee
Client Info Center Associations Tab, Employees Grid
Files Codes
These codes merge out the details of the linked files, not the files themselves.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one linked file, the placement of the end code determines where the next linked file's info begins.
Example:
[Files:] begins the linked files info
[File Description]
[Filepath]
[End] ends the linked files info and determines the merge location of the next file link
Client Info Center, Files Tab
Graphics Codes
These codes merge linked file data for graphics selected from an Opportunities Section in Custom Proposals.
These codes work only if they are merged from Custom Proposals.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
Because multiple graphics can be merged, the placement of the end code determines where the next graphic’s information begins.
Example:
[Graphics:] begins the graphic info codes
[File Description]
[Filepath]
[End] ends the graphic info codes and determines the merge location of the next graphic's info
Files Tab, Linked Graphics
Primary Address Codes
These codes merge out the primary address - the address for which the Primary option is selected.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
Because a Client can have only one primary address, you can place the end code for the Primary Address Codes group right after the last field selected from within that group.
Example:
[Primary Address:] begins the primary address codes
[Address1]
[Address2]
[City], [State][End] ends the primary address codes
Client Info Center General Tab, Primary Address
Projects Codes
These codes merge out the linked projects.
You must use a begin code <Begin Projects Codes> and an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one linked project, the placement of the end code determines where the next linked project begins.
Example:
[Projects:] begins projects codes
[Longname]
[Address1]
[City], [State]
[End] ends projects codes and determines the merge location of the next project
Client Info Center, Projects Tab
Opportunities Codes
These codes merge out the linked opportunities.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one linked opportunity, the placement of the end code determines where the next linked opportunity begins.
Example:
[Opportunities:] begins opportunities codes
[Name]
[Address1]
[City], [State]
[End] ends opportunities codes and determines the merge location of the next opportunity
Client Info Center, Opportunities Tab
Specific Address Codes
These codes merge out a specific address.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
After selecting the begin code, you must type the name of the desired address location. Because a client can have only one address by specific location, for example, ”r;Albany Office”, you can place the end code right after the last code selected.
Example:
[Address: Albany Office] begins the specific address codes
[Address1]
[Address2]
[City], [State][End] ends the specific address codes
Client Info Center, General Tab, Specific Address
Specific Associated Client Codes
This group merges out all associated clients for the selected client records, by specific association relationship.
You must use a begin code <Begin Tab> and an end code <End>.
Because a client can have more than one associated client with the same relationship, the placement of the end code determines where the next associated client begins.
Example:
[Association: Subsidiary] begins clients with the specified role
[Name]
[End] ends associated clients codes and determines the merge location of the next specified associated client
Client Info Center, Associations Tab, Associations Grid
Specific Employee Codes
These codes merge out the linked employees by their specific relationship to the clients.
You must use a begin code <Begin Selected Employee> and an end code <End>.

Example:
[Employee: Primary] begins the selected employee codes
[FirstName] [LastName]
[Title]
[End] ends the selected employee codes and determines the merge location of the next employee
Client Info Center, Associations Tab, Employees Grid
