Use the Service Phases tab to define the phases that are available for each service profile. Phases are the different components of a service profile that provide the foundation for how the fee is determined.

You can assign a percent of fee to each service phase, and then build your fee estimate by choosing the service phases that apply to each service profile. The assigned fee bands will determine the firm's fee and then spread it over the selected phases based on the percent of fee.
The Service Phases tab works in conjunction with the Phases grids on the Fee Estimate tab of the Opportunity Info Center. After you select a service profile for your fee estimate and define the fee basis for the functional groups, you can create a Phases grid that allows you to specify the phases that apply to the fee estimate. After you establish the phases for your fee estimate, you can choose to create a new project from the fee estimate. This option is available in the Project Info Center, and will automatically create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the project that is based on the phases and functional groups that are selected for the service profile, as well as the WBS mapping that is configured in Opportunity Settings.

Click the drop-down arrow on a grid header to complete any of the following actions:
- To print grid data, click
Print. When the Print Preview form displays, click
to send the grid data to your default printer.
- To export grid data to an Excel spreadsheet, click
Export to Excel. When Microsoft Excel opens, use its features to modify, print, or email the data, or to save the spreadsheet file locally.
- To turn on grouping for a grid, click
Enable Grouping. When a field displays with the instruction: "Drag a column header here to group by that column," drag and drop column headers into this field, in the sequence that you want them to display.
Not all options are available on all grids.

Insert
|
Click this option to insert a phase on the Service Phases grid.

Delete
|
Click this option to delete the selected phase from the Service Phases grid.

Phase
|
Enter a unique identifier for the phase. This identifier displays on the Select Phases dialog box and the Fee Estimate Phases grid when you create a Phases Grid on the Fee Estimate tab of the Opportunity Info Center, or the Fee Estimate application in Vision Accounting.
If you are creating new projects from fee estimates and the phase is mapped to a WBS level, it is important that the phase has the same number of characters as the WBS level it is mapped to.

Phase Description
|
Enter a description for the phase. This description displays for the phase on the Fee Estimating tab in the Opportunity Info Center.

Standard Percent of Fee
|
Enter the percentage that represents this phase's portion of the total fee for the service profile.

Disabled
|
Select this option to disable this phase. This phase will not be included when the service profile is selected on Fee Estimating tab in the Opportunity Info Center.

Sum
|
After you enter the
Standard Percent of Fee for each of the service phases, their sum displays in the bottom row of the grid. Most often, this sum will total 100 percent, assuming the contractor is responsible for the planning of the entire project. However, there may be situations where there is a pre-planning phase or the project is broken down into other components. In this cases, the sum of the phases may only represent one portion of the project.
Ajera CRMdoes not validate or require that the sum of the Service Phases grid equals 100.
