Adding attachments
The directions for adding attachments vary depending on if you are in a browser-based task (Expense Reports, Projects, Revenue Recognition) or a click-once based task (Project Command Center, Time & Expense).
To add an attachment to a click-once based task
Before you begin
- Verify that the file is in a shared location, such as a shared network or website.
- In the Ajera window, click the Attachments tab or button .
- Click Add.
- Do one of the following:
- Click the Browse button, select the file you want, and click Open.
- Enter the full URL (beginning with either http:// or https://) into the Files/URL field.
- Confirm you want to attach the file.
- If you want to upload the attachment, click Yes.

You can only upload attachments is Upload Attachments is enabled. |
When the upload is successful, a check mark appears in the Upload column in the Attachments window.
- To use attachment categories to organize your attachments, click in the Category field.
- Select a category for the attachment, and click Select. If the category you want does not exist, click New, set it up, and then select it.
- Click OK. Ajera automatically enters the file name in the Description field. Change the description, if needed.
- Click Save.
- Click Close.
To add an attachment to a browser-based task
You have two different ways to add attachments:
To add a link/URL to an attachment
- In the Actions column, click > Attachments.
- Click Add Link/URL to add a link to add a link/URL to an attachment.
- In the Add Attachment window, in the Link/URL field enter or paste the link to the attachment.
- Optional: Select a category for the attachment.
- Click Add.
To add an upload attachment
- In the Actions column, click > Attachments.
- Click Add Upload or drag and drop the files to attach.
Note: | Drag and drop is only available for Manage > Expense Reports and Manage > Projects AND if you have Upload Attachments enabled. |
- Click to open the file explorer window.
- Optional: Select a category.
- Click Save.
- Click OK to close the Attachments window.
The file is not uploaded until you click .
Once the attachment is uploaded, a check mark will appear in the Uploaded column in the Attachments window.
