About billing rate tables

When you set up a billing rate table, you begin by entering basic information, such as a name and the start and end dates. You then proceed to set up rates for labor, expenses, and consultants.

To set up billing rates:

  1. From the Setup menu, click Billing Rate Tables.
Note: If you are entering your first billing rate table, the New Billing Rate Table window appears and you can skip Step 2 of these instructions.
  1. Click the New button.
  2. Leave the status as Active so it can be used for your projects.
  3. For the description, type a name for the rate table.
  4. For the date range, enter the dates when you want to start and stop using the table. You can leave the Through date blank if you don't know when you want to stop using the table. Either type the dates or click to use a calendar.
Note: You can later choose to add additional date ranges to the table. One rate table can have many different date ranges so you can easily change rates during the project.
