Exporting custom reports

You can export a custom Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 report to a file, which you can share with others who are using a different database. They can then set up and add the custom report to their own Ajera databases.

These instructions do not apply to custom reports created in Crystal Reports (.rpt).

Before you begin

  • Ensure that the custom report is in a Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 file, which has an extension of .rdl.

To export custom reports

  1. From the Reports menu, click Manage Custom Reports.
  2. Click a row with an .rdl custom report and click the Export button.
  3. Change the file name if needed, navigate to where you want to save it, and click Save.
