Print a file copy of your
bank register, as needed. In some cases, you may need to provide your
CPA with a printout.
Verify that the bank register
balances to the cash account balance in the Trial Balance. The Balance
As Of amount on the Bank Reconciliation report should equal the
Trial Balance cash account balance. Be sure to produce the Trial Balance
report using the Balance As Of
date from the Bank Reconciliation report.
Verify that the credit card
register balances to the credit card payable account in the Trial Balance.
Review the cleared and outstanding
detail. Within these sections, the report groups bank entries together
by type (such as Checks and Deposits, Electronic Funds Transfer, and Interest).
To produce the Bank Reconciliation report:
From the Manage
menu, click Bank Register.
Click the Reconcile
tab.
If the statement for which
you want to produce the report is not for the bank account listed, select
a different bank account by clicking
.
In the Bank Statement table
at the upper right of the window, select the date of the statement for
which you want to produce the report. Entries for the statement you select appear
in the main table of the window.
Click Print.
If you make changes to the
bank statement, click Save and click Print
to see your changes reflected in the report.
Note:
For credit card statements, the report includes an amount for unpaid balance.
The unpaid balance is the amount remaining to pay on the vendor invoices
that Ajera creates when you close the credit card statement.
