About sales tax

To apply sales tax to amounts on a client invoice, ensure that you select the Apply sales tax check box on these windows:

  • Company > Preferences > Billing tab
  • Setup > Projects > Project Info tab > Billing subtab
  • Setup > Activities > General tab. Select this option for each labor or expense activity that may be taxable

When working with a client invoice, you can view the amount for sales tax in the Manage > Client Invoices > Text and Amounts tab > Sales Tax field.
