About reporting entities

unavailable in ajeraCore unless you have the Departments add-on

A reporting entity is a group of departments that you create to represent the various divisions in your firm for which you want financial information. For example, you might create reporting entities for your branch offices by grouping together the individual departments in each branch. In Ajera, you use reporting entities in the Financial Statement Designer and in statement groups.

You can create reporting entities only if you selected to use departments when setting up general company preferences.

You create reporting entities in the Reporting Entity window (Company > Financials > Reporting Entities > New button). A reporting entity can consist of as many departments as you want, and you can create as many reporting entities as you need.
