  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Deltek Acumen Options (Mentor)

The Acumen Mentor is designed to provide you with advice; similar to what a real-life mentor would do. In many cases this provides a safety net to minimize inaccurate results because of unreliable information.

Use these fields to add checks to ensure that all users are working with the most reliable data.

General

Select the Mentor Enabled checkbox to enable the mentor features. When you clear this checkbox, all fields on this tab are disabled.

Risk Schedule Quality

Use these settings to minimize unreliable results due to poor schedule quality.

When you click Run Risk Analysis on the S3 // Risk tab, before running the analysis, Acumen checks the ribbon threshold selected here and analyzes the schedule quality to see if reliable risk results can be achieved. If the score is below the threshold specified here, Acumen displays a warning message. At that stage, you can choose to view or ignore the issues.

Field Description
Enabled Select this checkbox to enable the Risk Schedule Quality mentor feature. When you clear this checkbox, the Risk Schedule Quality mentor settings in this group become inactive.
Schedule Quality Ribbon View Select the ribbon that you want to use to judge the quality of the schedule. The default is Schedule Quality.
Score Threshold Select the minimum score that the selected ribbon must meet to be considered for proper quality.

Risk Inputs (Uncertainty and Risks)

When this setting is enabled and you run Risk Analysis without any uncertainty or mapped risks, Acumen displays a message stating that you will not get useful results. You can choose to ignore the message and continue with Risk Analysis or cancel the process.

S3//Risk Tab Help

When this setting is enabled and you select the S3//Risk tab, Acumen displays a dialog box asking if you would like to assign uncertainty or create a risk register. This dialog box displays each time you access the S3//Risk tab unless you clear this option or you select Don't show this again on the dialog box.

After the dialog displays:
  • If you click Assign Uncertainty, Acumen launches the Risk Advisor.
  • If you click Create a Risk Register, Acumen sets up the view with activities on the left and risks on the right.

You can click Ignore to close the dialog box without making any changes to the view.
