Define A New Variable Value

Define a variable value.

To define a variable value, complete the following steps:

1. Select the Metrics tab.
2. In the Variables group, click New Variable. Variable x is added to the Variables list.
3. In the Name field, enter a name for the variable.
4. (Optional) In the Value field, enter a value. If no value is specified, you are prompted for it during an analysis. Upon entering this value (at run-time), the variable will store and use this value unless you alter it at a later time.
