Import a Data Source

Use this procedure to add data source or database connection by importing it.

To import a data source:

  1. In the PPM Datasource Management Tool dialog box, click Import.
  2. In the Import Data Source dialog box, enter the full path and file name of the DATASOURCES.DAT file.
    Alternatively, you can click Browse to locate the file.
  3. Click OK to close the Import Data Source dialog box and complete the process.
    During import, if the data source includes any special characters or spaces, the tool automatically replaces them with an underscore (_). For example, the data source PMCompas85Cob85OP87SQL(MAKDBT07) will be renamed to PMCompas85Cob85OP87SQL_MAKDBT07_.
