This link is available when all PPM products in the selected data source are compatible with PPM Administrator.

Database If more than one database is available, select the database that you want to open. The installation automatically creates a data source, but you can add more to manage a development environment and so on and so forth.

If there is only one data source available and it is configured for Mixed authentication, and the user authentication is Windows Authentication, the application logs you in automatically using your Windows credentials.

Windows Authentication Select this option if you are logged in to Windows with your network login credentials and you want to log in to PPM Administrator using Windows Authentication.

If you choose not to use Windows Authentication, define password policies (such as a required length, uppercase, and special characters) are defined in the PPM Administrator. As you add a new user in PPM Administrator, the application sends an email to the user with a temporary password so that they can reset their password with the defined policies.
