Scenario Likely Cause Where to Review
The GL Total is two or three times higher than expected. The account is mapped to multiple revenue lines on the selected F/S Code. Check the account mappings on the Manage Financial Statements screen.
The GL Total is lower than expected. The account is missing from the F/S Code or is not marked as a revenue line. Verify that the Revenue checkbox is selected for the account on the Manage Financial Statements screen.
The Project Ledger Total is doubled. Multiple subperiod records exist for the same project and organization combination. Contact Deltek Support.

Your product may require a version update.

Variance exists for YTD but not for ITD. A timing difference exists between General Ledger posting and Project Ledger revenue recognition. Compare posting periods in the GL Details subtask.
More projects are included than expected. The variance is caused by child project roll-up based on a LIKE filter applied to the project ID. Enter 0 in the Project Level field to view individual project breakdown.
The variance changes when the rate type is changed. The difference is expected due to Actual versus Target rate type selection. Verify the correct Rate Type for your reconciliation purpose.
An account displays in the General Ledger but not in the inquiry results. The account is not mapped to the selected F/S Code. Verify that the Revenue checkbox is selected for the account on the Manage Financial Statements screen.
An error occurs when viewing large amounts. The amount exceeds the system field size limit. Contact Deltek Support.
