Prepare Records for Offline Mode

Use the Make Available Offline feature to prepare and access Costpoint application records in Offline mode.

To use the Make Available Offline feature:

  1. On the Context menu, click Offline and then click Make Available Offline.

    Costpoint downloads the first 10 records from the application for offline access.

  2. Alternatively, if you want to choose which records Costpoint downloads for offline access:

    1. Press ALT+SHIFT to select a range of records or CTRL+SHIFT to select multiple records in any order.

    2. On the Context menu, click Offline and then click Make Available Offline.

  3. Click OK to confirm the records are ready for offline access.

Important: When you click Make Available Offline, you enable Costpoint to prepare the application for Offline mode on that specific device or laptop only. You must follow the steps above on each laptop or device that you will use in Offline mode.
Note: After the initial use of Make Available Offline, Costpoint stores the records and subtasks you visit within the application for offline access. As a result, you may see more records in Offline mode than you specifically requested.

Manage Offline Data

The Manage Offline Data window is an advanced option for maintaining your offline data. You do not need to use this window to prepare specific records for Offline mode.
