Project Setup
With this module, you can set up any type of project quickly and easily. This module provides roll-up capabilities with a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for any project level. You can:
- Establish and maintain company-wide settings and codes for your projects.
- Initialize labor categories and billing rates.
- Set up revenue calculation methods.
- Enter and inquire on project history.
- Set up project values and unit pricing.
The new tables are: Project Hierarchy (PROJ_HIERARCHY), Source Project Mapping (PROJ_SRCE_PROJ), Invoice Level Mapping (PROJ_INVC_PROJ), and Revenue Level Mapping (PROJ_REV_PROJ).

Use the screens in the Project Master application group to initiate a new project, add or update multiple projects, and enter and maintain information on project modifications, change orders, government contracts, and project deliverables.
Use the screens in the Revenue application group to set up revenue calculation, manage rate sequence orders, and establish alternate project revenue profiles.
Use the screens in the Project Ceilings application group to set total, burden cost, direct cost, and hour ceilings, as well as override fee percentages on indirect and direct costs for the project.
Use the screens in the Project Labor application group to set up project labor categories and link them to projects. You can also establish employee, vendor, and vendor employee work force in this application group.
This application group has the Manage Alternate Projects screen that you can use to create and maintain alternate project structures for reporting purposes.
Use the screens in the Charging Information application group to link projects to accounts and/or organizations.
This application group has the Manage CLIN Information screen that you can use to enter and maintain contract line item number (CLIN) information for projects.
Use the screens in the Project History application group to enter prior year information for projects.
Use the screens in the Project Setup Utilities application group to activate or inactivate projects, and to update project contract and funded values as well as project period of performance data.
This application group has the Import Project Master Data screen that you can use to import project data from an input file into Costpoint.
Use the screens in the Project Setup Controls application group to establish system-wide project settings and define project account groups, project types, modification descriptions, and change order statuses.
Use the screens in the Administrative Utilities application group to run toolkits for checking/rebuilding project segment IDs, purging project information, and synchronizing project data.
