Budgeting and ETC

Costpoint Budgeting and ETC controls expenses by monitoring budgets and backlog at any project level.

You can use this module to compare cost account, labor category hours, and unit budgets against actual history and control spending of authorized funds with encumbrance tracking. You can access continuous, up-to-date ETC information and flag expenditures that will exceed authorized funds.

Total Budgets

Use the screens in the Total Budgets application group to create total budgets for a project, organization, and account, and to update the budget report tables.

Period Budgets

Use the screens in the Period Budgets application group to create and manage project budgets by period.

Use the screens in the Estimate to Complete application group to create, compute, and manage estimate to complete amounts and hours.

Encumbrance Tracking

Use the screens in the Encumbrance Tracking application group to set up and maintain project line item budgets and revisions, and to calculate over budget transactions.

Cost Schedule Status Report

Use the screens in the Cost Schedule Status Report application group to create, manage, import, and print Cost Schedule Status Report information.

Estimate to Complete Reports/Inquiries

Use the screens in the Estimate to Complete Reports/Inquiries to view and print estimate to complete information.

Budget Interfaces

Use the screens in the Budget Interfaces application group to set up the Project Planner interface.

Budget Controls

Use the screens in the Budget Controls application group to enter average labor rates of general labor and project labor categories for use in the budgeting screens.
