Contents of the Manage Certifications Screen

Use the fields and options to configure the Manage Certifications screen.

Table Window

Note: Once you use a certification record in a different application, you cannot delete that record until it is no longer used in any application.
FieldDescription
Certification Code

Enter a unique alphanumeric identifier for the certification record.

Certification Name

Enter a name for the certification.

Agency Code

Enter, or click to select, the identifier of the agency that issued the certification.

The value you enter in this field must have a corresponding record on the Manage Agencies screen.

If you entered a value in this field, the Professional Code field is disabled.

Note: This field is enabled only if you are licensed for Capture & Contracts.
Agency Name

This field displays the name of the agency.

Professional Org Code

Enter, or click to select, the identifier of the professional body that issued the certification.

If you entered a value in this field, the Agency Code field is disabled.

Professional Org Name

This field displays the name of the professional organization.

CMMC Certification

Select this checkbox to designate the certification definition that represents Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) for your organization.

The following rules apply:

  • Only one certification can be designated as the CMMC certification at a time.
  • If you select this checkbox and another certification is already designated as the CMMC certification, Costpoint displays an error message and prevents you from saving the record.
  • Selecting this checkbox automatically selects and disables Show in Lookup.
  • If you clear this checkbox, Show in Lookup reverts to its previous setting and becomes editable again.
Note: If no certification is designated as the CMMC certification, Costpoint displays validation warnings on the Manage Contracts screen for applicable contracts.
Note: For Costpoint Cloud, this checkbox is available only if you choose to opt in to Feature 2568947 for the Costpoint 2026.4 release. The ability to opt in is temporary and will be removed when the feature becomes automatically enabled for all users as part of a future Costpoint release. See the Manage Opt-In Features topic for more information.
Show in Lookup

Select this checkbox to display the certification record in field lookups.

Subtasks

Subtask Description
Level Use the Level subtask to set up different degrees for each certification record.
Status Use the Status subtask to configure statuses for each certification record.
