CONFIGURE ADVANCED PLANNING AND SCHEDULING PARAMETERS

Use this screen to modify the parameters used to download Manufacturing Order (MO) and Work Center information from Costpoint into the RSS Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) system.

Location

Scheduled Release Date

Use this group box to select whether the APS scheduled date should be populated with  the MO planned release date or in shop dates.

MO Planned Release Date

Select this option to load the MO Planned Release Date as the Scheduled Release Date.

MO Planned Shop Date

Select this option to load the MO Planned Shop Date as the Scheduled Release Date.

Calculate Purchase Material Availability

Select this check box to calculate whether required purchased inventory is on hand and available for each MO.

Include Revision on RSS Part Field

Select this checkbox to include the part revision in the APS make part field.

Default Schedule Method

Use this group box to select whether operations should be scheduled forward from the start date or back from the due date as a default.

Forward

Select this option to use Forward Scheduling as the default for planning MO operations.

Backward

Select this option to use Backward Scheduling as the default for planning MO operations.

Default MO Priority

Enter a number (1-10) to use as the default priority for new MOs (1 - highest, 10 - lowest).

Export Work Center Pools

Use this group box to select a user-defined field if you wish to export that routing line field's value as a work center pool.

No Export

Select this option if you do not want to export the any user-defined field's routing line value as a work center pool.

Field1, User-Defined

Select this option if you want to export this user-defined field's routing line value as a work center pool.

Field2, User-Defined

Select this option if you want to export this user-defined field's routing line value as a work center pool.

Field 3, User-Defined

Select this option if you want to export this user-defined field's routing line value as a work center pool.

MO Download Field Numbers

Use this group box to indicate user-defined field numbers to populate with MO planner, inventory abbreviation, netting group, order reference, or assembly serial number fields.

Planner

Enter a user-defined field number (1-9) to populate with the MO planner.

Inv Abbrev

Enter a user-defined field number (1-9) to populate with the MO build-to inventory abbreviation.

Netting Group

Enter a user-defined field number (1-9) to populate with the MO build-to Project's netting group.

Order Reference

Enter a user-defined field number (1-9) to populate with the MO order reference number.

Assy Serial Numbers

Enter a user-defined field number (1-9) to populate with the MO assembly serial numbers.

MO Notes

Use this group box to select the source notes field to be loaded to the APS MO notes field.

MO Header Notes

Select this option to download MO header notes.

MO Expediting Notes

Select this option to download MO expedite notes.

Do Not Download Notes

Select this option to not download MO notes.

Work Center Department

Use this group box to select the source of the APS Work Center Department.

Work Center Org

Select this option to download the work center's organization ID as the APS Work Center department.

Use Work Center Type

Select this option to download the work center's type as the APS Work Center department.

Other

Select this option to download load the entered value as the APS Work Center department for all work centers. Enter the value to assign as the department for all downloaded work centers in the field to the reight.

Default File Location

Enter the default alternate file location uploaded/downloaded files should be stored at.

Linking MOs to Top Level Assemblies

Use this group box to select how the system should try to link subassembly MOs to assembly jobs.

Link by Part/Order Reference Number

Select this option to have the system try to link subassemblies to assembly jobs by part and order reference number.

Link by Part/Inv Abbrev

Select this option to have the system try to link subassemblies to assembly jobs by part and inventory abbreviation.

Need Date Differential Cutoff

Enter the calendar days difference allowed between the need date of the subassembly and parent requirements when linking jobs. Enter the number of calendar days in the field to the right.

Do Not Attempt to Link

Select this option to not have the system try to link subassemblies to assembly jobs.

Update Operation Status

Use this group box to select whether the APS system should update Costpoint operation dates, or vice-versa.

Update APS with Costpoint Dates

Select this option to have the APS system updated with Costpoint Actual Operation Start and Completion Dates.

Update Costpoint with APS Dates

Select this option to have Costpoint updated with the APS Actual Operation Start and Completion Dates.
